Banana is fruit which is cultivated from ancient age. In New guinea, south-east Asia this fruit is cultivated from 5000 BC and possibly to 8000 BC. From south-east Asia it goes to Africa and then it spread all over world.

Now, Banana is a very common fruit with very special food-values in it. In our country, India, the bananas are cultivated & consumed in a large amount and people said, this fruit is truly poor people's diet or food.

There are many different type of bananas available. Most of them are seedless although, some of them are seedy type bananas.

The Bananas are basically one-time plant; which means, on a banana-plant, we can expect fruit not more than one time. After fruiting, its plants are dried. But, we can grow the banana garden through its baby plants which are came-out from the main plant's side.

In Banana, there are many food-values included. It generates and supplies energy in a very short time. During any kind of sports, the players took this fruit for getting fast energy.
